After just two months of intense training and over 130 hours of flight experience, Bhavana proved that the word “impossible” is just an illusion. During her training, she not only mastered complex technical skills but also gained real-time operational experience while assisting during flood emergencies in Punjab and other states.

This achievement is not only her personal triumph — it is also an inspiration for every woman who dares to challenge the traditional boundaries set by society. BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary awarded her the Flying Badge, symbolizing her perseverance and success.The BSF Air Wing, established in 1969, has always played a crucial role in border security and emergency relief operations. However, the entry of women into this highly technical and challenging field had been extremely rare — until now. Bhavana’s success marks not only a new era for the Air Wing but also sends a message of hope and empowerment to women across the nation.
